Fire Truck Footprint Art
We love print crafts there is no doubt about that. With Fire Prevention Week Oct 5-11th, I wanted to share a simple fire truck footprint art project for the kids. Working on simple arts and crafts with the kids is a great time to talk about how to prevent fires and what to do in case you have a fire in your home. That is what we did and it worked out great.
Fire Truck Footprint Art
What we used:
red finger paint
white cardstock
sharpies
What to do:
I took my finger and spread the finger paint on baby brother’s foot. I then pressed his foot onto the white paper. My husband was home so he helped me. We left it to dry.
When the older kids got home we did this too and talked about what to do if the house caught on fire. We went over our meeting spot. This is a spot for us to meet once everyone is out of the house. Even though they are still young I like to be in the habit of going over these things with them.
Once the prints are dry go back and add a light, ladder, and wheels with the sharpies. I cut one piece of white paper out to make a window for the fire truck. Then, you are done.
We hope you can enjoy this craft too. It is even fun when it is not fire prevention week.
