While at Target the other day I was looking through the dollar section and came across some cute
Valentines Day mailboxes. I just had to get them. My kids love “writing letters” and mailing them. These mailboxes would be perfect for them to play with. I decided to set them up with an invitation to play Mini Valentines. This activity is great for fine motors skills and a lot of fun for the kids.
Mini Valentines- fine motor skills
What we used:
foam sheets
markers
small bowls
tray
stickers
mailboxes
Set up:
I cut up foam sheets ( from dollar tree) and put them in a small bowl. I put stickers in a small bowl. Then I added markers to a bowl. I set them all on a tray and also sat the mailboxes on it. Now the invitation to create mini valentines was set up.
This is great for ages 2-5yr. Both my kids really enjoyed this activity. The set up is easy and it keeps the kids busy.
Fine motor skills practices using the stickers and markers and then by adding them to the mailboxes. All great for working those little hand muscles.
This is also great for pretend play. My boys just loved these mini valentines.
I hope you and the kids can enjoy this too.
Baby Play Activity version!
We could not leave baby brother out of playtime. I set him up with the baby safe mini valentines activity. His was super simple. Foam sheets and the mailbox.
He got to pull the foam sheets out and throw them all over the house. He was having a blast.
So glad I was able to give baby brother a play activity similar to big brothers. Love when they all get to play together. Even if it is a little different.
