The kids and I have been enjoying a slow summer over here.  I have been blogging less and sitting poolside more.  Our fun summer times are almost over for this year.  School is starting soon!  So with back to school on my mind, even if I do not want it to be, I came up with a fun Back to School theme busy activity for the kids.  Patterns with Erasers is easy to set up and fun for multiple ages.  The kids really had fun making patterns and more.

Supplies/what I used:

Board Dudes 12″ x 12″ Light Cork Tiles, 4-Pack (70VA-4)

back to school themed erasers from dollar tree

I sat out a bowl with the erasers in it on top of the cork board.   I had my oldest come over and before I could tell him what I had thought of he said “this is for patterns”.  I guess he knows me well.  He sat down and started making all sorts of patterns complicated and simple.  Big brother even counted and played “what is missing” from his  pattern. Little brother had fun making patterns too.  Baby brother wanted to play so he got an empty bottle and played drop the erasers in the bottle.  This was a great fine motor activity for him.  So you can make patterns, count, ask what is missing, and drop in a bottle.  I’m sure there are even more fun ways to play and learn with these erasers.
