Pom poms have so many uses and not just for crafting. All of my kids have loved to drop small items down into bottles or containers. They just can not seem to get enough of it. My kids are 1-5yr right now. They all still enjoy doing this. The oldest just because the little ones are doing it I think, but that is ok. Pom Pom Drop is great for fine motor skills and it’s just fun.
The other day we had some items out of the play kitchen and pom poms got added to the mix. Baby brother soon started adding the pom poms to the empty bottle.
What we used:
pom poms- most of them are from craftprojectideas.com goodie box they send us for free.
extra large creamer bottle
and a bowl
What to do:
Place the items on a table or floor and let the kids take over. I loved watching his amazement as he watched the pom poms drop.
He would fill it and then dump it out. I had to give it a shake to help get them all back out.
I always say simple is not boring. Sometimes I thinks kids do better with less.
This simple setup helps build those tiny hand muscles and keeps the kids busy. That works for me.
We hope you can enjoy this fine motor drop activity too.
