Recently my son and I were able to try out Rosetta Stone’s Kid Reading Program online. Rosetta Kids Reading  is designed to help children ages 3-7 get a jump-start on their education by developing core literacy skills in an engaging and effective way.My oldest son “big brother” is now 6yr.  He is learning to read this year in kindergarten and finding fun ways to encourage this outside of school is great. Rosetta Stones offers just that.  Rosetta Stone Kids Reading Activity is a fun and easy to use program.  He has enjoyed getting online and learning along with this reading program.

My son has been able to use this program to listen to rhyming sounds, match letters, simple sort….  He loves the fun characters and the ease of use.  I love that he enjoys it and is learning while “playing” online.  I love that he is able to hear the words and sounds online through this program.  Hearing how to say a word or rhyme a word will help him read.  There are games for upper and lowercase match, word blends, letter recognition, starting sounds…. So many good things for him to be going over right now. I even think little brother will enjoy trying some of these out.

In today’s world computers are everywhere.  I think it is important to let our children learn on them so they can have a good understanding of how they work and how to use them.
My son loves that he has “a game to play on the computer”.
