Spider-Man Foam Dough Play Activity

We are finding fun ways to put our Spider-Man toys to use this week.  Spider-Man Foam Dough was first on the list!  We made foam dough monsters in the winter and my boys just loved the texture of this play material.  It was passed time to make a new batch. Once the kids figured out what I was up to, it was hard to get them to sit still and wait to play.  A few minutes later and Spider-Man Foam Dough play was taking place!

Blue and Red Raspberry Foam Dough Recipe

How to make:

Take 2 bowls and pour half the box of cornstarch in each bowl.  Start with one bowl and add red finger paint.  A few plastic spoon scoops. Then start spraying in the shaving cream.  Mix with your hands. Keep adding shaving cream and mixing until it is moldable but not sticky.  Repeat this process for the blue foam dough.

How to set up:

Get a tray and place the spiders in one section, Spider-Man toys in one section, and foam dough in separate sections.  I like setting activities up on these types of trays so the kids can play as they want with the items I set out for them.

The red and blue raspberry foam dough smelled amazing.  I also added a  little black glitter to it.

This can be very messy so we set it up outside today for playtime.

I left the 2 older kids to play with it outside and baby bro and I watched them from inside the glass door.  We found other ways to play in the floor by the door while they where outside.

When the kids got through playing with the foam dough we cleaned up by playing in our Spider-Man Water Bin.  We even took our toys from the water bin and put them in the bath that night.  We had blue water instead and Spider-Man bath wash of course.

We have more Spider-Man play ideas we hope to share with you this week if time is on my side.  But, if not this week we will share them with you at some point along the way.  Happy Playing!
