Yogurt Cup Monsters- Fun Halloween Craft/Art For Kids
My kids love the little yogurt cups. We have tons of them at times and then I throw them away and we pile up more. I have been inspired while washing dishes before and staring at these little cups on the counter to create a Wind Chime out of them. This time while washing dishes I envisioned little monsters. You never know when creative inspiration will hit but mine often comes while washing dishes, lol. The cups sat on the counter for about a month before I got around to finally doing this craft with the kids. The Yogurt Cup Monsters were lots of fun and I love the individual personality the kids gave each monster.
Yogurt Cup Monsters- Fun Halloween Craft/Art For Kids
What we used:
multi colored yogurt cups, googly eyes, yarn, glue, and pom poms.
{googly eyes and pom poms we bought by craftprojectideas at walmart}
What we did:
I sat a bowl out with the cut up yarn, pom poms, and the googly eyes. You can let older kids cut up the yarn to work on their hand muscles but since I did this craft with little brother first while big brother was gone I just cut the yarn. I sat the glue and cups out as well. I sat down with my 2 yr and we started creating our own fun monsters. I helped with the glue a little and helped him press the items down if he asked. This is a great open end process for them. They get to create their own craft or art with this activity. They make each cup their own and get to add what they want where they want. Both my guys just loved this.
I see a little imagination behind each one of these monster creations. And imagination is what fuels the minds of our children.
We had lots of fun creating monsters out of yogurt cups. We are in full Halloween mode over here and these make the perfect decoration for the mantle, shelves, bookcases… The kids just love seeing these little monsters out for everyone to see. I hope that you and your kids can enjoy this too.

I just love using recyclables for crafts! And, I love that you get your ideas while washing dishes. Most of mine come while I’m in the shower, but that’s probably because that’s the only time I’m alone! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
