Banana Craft That Is Even Banana Scented and The Kid’s Co-op
We love torn paper and scissor skills crafts at my house. With a toddler and preschooler it is great to let one tear paper and one cut paper. We haven’t done one in a while so it was time. With a banana theme this week, we did a banana torn paper craft. To make it a little more exciting we scented the paper to smell like a real banana. We are big Curious George fans so I thought it would be fun to have a banana inspired craft to do with the kids.
What we used
white cardstock
yellow cardstock
marker
banana extract
glue
scissors for kids if cutting up paper
What we did
I had my husband draw a banana in a hurry on his way out the door for me on the white paper. I gave my son the yellow paper to tear because I couldn’t find his scissors this morning. My mom was visiting and helped him tear the paper. I took a little banana extract and put it on a napkin and rubbed it into the white paper with the banana drawn on it. Last my son glued on the yellow torn paper. Now we have a fun banana scented banana craft.
My son was tickled that his craft actually smelled like a banana. We hung it up on the wall and watched Curious George that afternoon.

My kids love these torn paper crafts. I love that you scented the paper. I never would have thought of that, but that would make the activity a bit more exciting. Thanks for the tip!
Cute idea! And such a nice craft for toddlers– easy for them and connected to something they know. Pinning to Letter B!
