Cherry Blossom Tree ~ marshmallow painting
We started a cherry blossom crafting frenzy over here one afternoon. We had lots of fun and kept busy creating many different cherry blossom tree crafts using different techniques and craft supplies. Our first Cherry Blossom Craft was with melted crayons. For our second craft we moved on to print making with marshmallows! Before we got busy print making we might have tasted a few marshmallows. But in the end we did not eat too many and we were left with a beautiful painting.
Cherry Blossom Tree ~ marshmallow painting
Supplies/What we used:
multi colored paints (thanks craftprojectideas for the paints!!)
brown finger paints
white construction paper
paint brush
marshmallows
food picks
bowl or 2
What to do:
We painted a brown tree branch on the white paper first. I tried to let it dry a little before we moved on to the print making part.
I had pink paint in a bowl for the kids to dip their marshmallows in the paint and then dot them all over their tree branch.
My toddler could not get over using marshmallows to paint with, lol. He even hesitated in the beginning because he would have rather eaten them all.
This is great to work on hand eye coordination and those little hand muscles.
I just love how their masterpieces turned out. Beautiful Cherry Blossom Branches made using a paint brush and marshmallow print making.
Another fun Marshmallow Painting I love by Mamas Like Me. Must check it out.
