Chick Paper Plate Craft
Special guest post from Coffee Cups and Crayons!
Spring is almost here are we are ready for all of the cuteness the season brings!
This adorable baby chick paper plate craft is one of our favorites. I love how to see how the handprint wings “grow” each year as the kids’ hands get bigger!
Chick Paper Plate Craft
- yellow paper plate
- googly eyes
- orange and yellow construction paper
- popsicle stick
- glue
- scissors
Start by tracing your child’s hand on yellow construction paper and cut it out. You can cut two at the same time or trace and cut out both hands. These become the chick’s wings.
Cut out an orange triangle for the nose and glue all the pieces onto the plate to create a chick.
Add the stick to the back and let everything dry really well.
My kids love to play with their paper plate chick puppets! It’s great for pretend play and storytelling…and keeping them busy so you can make dinner!
If you like this chick you would also love to make a simple paper plate bunny puppet to go along with it!
