Envelope Countdown Advent Calendar
Last minute idea for a DIY Christmas countdown calendar. I was wanting to make the kids an advent calendar for Christmas this year we could use over and over again. After giving it some thought I decided to create an easy envelope countdown advent calendar. After searching through my craft supplies I found almost everything I needed to make the advent countdown. I went to the store to pick up a few small items. Then it was time to get crafty. So thrilled the kids love how this Advent Countdown Calendar turned out.

Supplies:
glitter paper tags
push pins
string
silver sharpie marker
paper envelopes
Christmas washi tape
small gift box
shredded paper- optional
white canvas
I started with the gift tags. I numbered them 1-24 with the silver sharpie marker. I then added string to each of them. I put push pins into the canvas. I did 4 rows of 6 push pins.
For the envelopes I numbered them 1-24. After placing the tag inside I added a small piece of Christmas tree washi tape to seal.
I was going to use a small silver tin box we had to place the envelopes in but picked up this cute gift box while at the store. It was perfect to hold the Christmas countdown envelopes.
I love that this advent calendar will also be a fun number recognition activity for my preschooler and toddler. As we countdown to Christmas we can go over the “number of the day”.
This is an easy countdown advent calendar to make and fun for multiple ages. We look forward to using it a few more Christmas’s too.
