I am so excited to let you know about a new book we helped co-author today! We teamed up with our Preschool Book Club friends to bring you Exploring Books Through Play. It is 50 activities based on books about friendship, acceptance, and empathy. The book club is headed up by Meredith of Homegrown Friends and includes Mama Papa Bubba, Buggy and Buddy,Sugar Aunts, and us FSPDT. My kids love book inspired activities so they were all for helping find fun ways to play and craft for these amazing books. There are so many great ideas throughout this book, a lot that we want to try too. I hope you can get excited with us and check out this NEW book we took part in.

Boy + Bot was one of our favorite books from the collection we read. Above you can see a sample page and one activity idea from Jen at Mama Papa Bubba. I just love her idea.
I had heard of Sick Day for Amos McGee yet the kids and I had never read it. Working on this project was a good push to pick up the book and finally read it. I just love the happy thoughts letter activity idea Meredith came up with to go with this book. See sample page above.

Exploring Books Through Play 50 activities based on books about friendship, acceptance, and empathy is a great collection of idea to use along with each book. These books share such great lessons for all of us to learn. The fun stories make it easy to get a conversation started with kids or for the younger ones to introduce the ideas to them. I had so much fun working on this project with Homegrown Friends, Mama Papa Bubba, Buggy and Buddy, and Sugar Aunts. I hope you and your kids can have just as much fun with these book inspired activities too.
