Fall Sensory Bin-toddler

My toddler loves to make a mess!  So what better way to do that than give him a bucket full of fun stuff to scatter around the floor.  This sensory bin has a fall theme to it.  I did this by adding fabric leaves, yellow pom poms, and assorted fall colored pipe cleaners.  I also added a washed and dried peanut butter bottle.  This was for him to put his fun items down in if he wanted.  Once it was ready I sat it on the floor for him and brought him over to see it.

Toddler fun in a bucket.

As I thought, he went for the plastic jar first.  He loves these type of jars.  He was trying to get the lid off.  Sometimes he does and other times he gets mommy to do it.

Finally, he sat down to look through the whole bucket.  He is feeling the texture of the leaves.  He has never really played with leaves before so he wasn’t sure what they were.

It didn’t take long for him to turn the bucket upside down.  It actually took him longer than I thought to empty it on the floor.

His favorite part was adding the pom poms to the jar.  He did this over and over. Great for fine motor skills practice  He put them in and dumped them out.

I was so glad that he enjoyed his fall sensory bin.  I enjoyed watching him as he played.  We hope you and your kids can have some fall fun too.
