Fine Motor Skills Toothpick Drop
My kids love to drop items in bottles and containers. It is great for their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. There are so many fun and easy ways for them to do this. While out shopping at a store little brother noticed these bright colored toothpicks and requested to bring one home. My mind went quickly to what will he do with it? Fine motor skills practice would be perfect for this. The other great thing was it was a dollar! So the toothpicks came home with us.
What we used:
colored toothpicks
container it came in
tray
What we did:
I put the container of toothpicks in the tray and sat it out for little brother(3yr).
He opened the container and poured out the toothpicks in the tray. The container has 2 openings one with one hole and another with multiple holes. He started adding the toothpicks back to the container.
This was also a great quiet time activity. He was able to sit at the table and work on this by himself while I was in the kitchen cleaning up.
We hope you can enjoy this quick and easy fine motor skills activity too.
