Flag Handprint Craft

The kids love to make crafts for upcoming holiday’s.  We have 4th of July coming up here in the US.  The kids wanted to make a craft to go along with the occasion.  So why not a fun handprint flag craft?  The kids love print art and it is easy.  We had a fun afternoon crafting and painting this day.  We also ended up with some holiday art for the art wall.

Supplies/what we used:

red paint

blue paint

white paint

white cardstock paper

blue star stickers -because I could not find our white ones.

How to make/what we did:

I put all 3 colors of paint on a paper plate to start.  I painted my son’s hand with red, white, and blue paint.  He then pressed his hand down on the paper.  The first print smeared so we did a second one without painting his hand again.  This one was perfect.  We left the handprint to dry over night.  The next day he added some star stickers and we hung the print up on the art wall.  Now we have a fun and cute 4th of July decoration.
