Glitter Glue Monsters on Paper Plates

We love trying to come up with a way to use Craftprojects.com Material of the Month.  This month is all about GLITTER GLUE!  We love glitter glue.  I was trying to think of a fun holiday craft to make and had no ideas.  Then I was trying to think of a sensory activity we could do with them, no ideas. Then I thought why not do what we do best, simple.  Simple crafts and activities are always a hit with my boys.  These are often the ones I think they remember.  My kids love glitter glue so much I can just give them the glue with paper and they are happy.  I mixed it up just a little and they created Glitter Glue Monsters on Paper Plates.  Fun process art for kids of multiple ages.

What we did:

I set up a tray with glitter glue, yarn,  and googly eyes.  I then gave my son a paper plate.  Both my 3yr and 6yr made a face.  I also made one while I took pictures since baby brother was sleeping.

I gave them the supplies and let them take over and create the “monster” they wanted.  Note that we like silly and nice monsters at our house.

I love our crafts but the kids love the freedom of process art.  I do too.

They went crazy with all of the glitter glues I sat out and had a great time!  My 3yr just put stuff all over the plate.  I loved watching him have fun.  My 6yr tried to create a face and still had lots of fun going crazy with the glitter glue.  I love how even though he was in control it still looked like a monster.  It just reminds me how fast he is growing up!

So everything we do does not have to be grand.  I often find simple is best.  And if you follow us along here you know that by now.  Hope you and the kids can get out the glitter glue today and have some fun too!
