Glitter Jello Surprise

I have been trying to find new and fun ways to use glitter.  I came up with this one. A glitter jello sensory bowl.  I would not recommend this for young children or children that have to put everything in their mouth.  My son is 3 1/2yr and had a lot of fun with this and understood we do not eat but just play b/c of the glitter.  My 1 yr would have eaten it and that is why he didn’t join us for this activity, lol.  As you can see in the picture above that is what I used(googly eyes, pom poms, glitter, and jello not shown).  I made the jello and then added all the extras before setting in the fridge to set.

Glitter Jello Surprise

It looked fun and smelled good to me.  I used a peach jello box I got for less than 50 cents at the store.
He was surprised to see this when I sat it out for him to play.
We added some forks, spoons, and bowls as he played.
He had fun digging everything out and cutting the jello.
Love the above picture of his tongue out as he is concentrating on what he is doing.

Great sensory play with the sight, smell, and feel of the jello.

Extra sight sensory with all the extras added.
The separate bowl he put his finds in.
His mess at the end of play.  Not too bad compared to some things we do.  I love a simple clean up.
Hope you and your kids may have some glitter jello fun too.
Note: I have been inspired to find new ways to use glitter after being able to take part in the pinterest board Glitter by the Glittering Muffins.
