I love my son and I am always happy to spend time alone with him. I am a stay at home mom but with another toddler to chase after it is hard to just really enjoy my oldest as much as I would like to sometimes. We both enjoy our time we spend together alone. We do a lot of activities, playtime, and crafts when younger brother naps. I do love my baby boy too and enjoy all our time we spend together when big brother is at school. What we did this morning for about 20 min before daddy left for work was go over to the woods and “hunt” for rocks. It was nice just listening and talking to him and what fun he did have getting dirty while gathering rocks. Any time you can spend with your kids no matter what you are doing is priceless and will impact their lives forever.
Here is my son as we set off to hunt for rocks.
Here are our shadows as we go on our outdoor adventure.
Oh, so many rocks which one first! This is a great way to get kids moving. Also a great way to get outside and enjoy nature. We now have a growing collection of rocks.
I love that all you need to have a rock hunt adventure is your kid, a bucket, and a few min’s of your time. We had a lot of fun!
Love this quote!
What are some of your favorite ways to spend time with your kids outside?
Hi! I am Jaime, mama to three high energy boys. With three boys, life never slows down, but I wouldn't have it any other way! We love creating, learning, and crafting together and we can turn anything into an adventure.
Rock hunting can be fun! And if you get a rock tumbler, you can even make it more fun! Those were so fun as a kid! There is a lot a kid can learn about earth and the environment through rocks- and then there is the whole imagination and building aspect of rock collecting! Great activity!
