If You Give a Moose a Muffin- craft and snack

My son loves this series of books y Laura Numeroff ( if you would like to read a little about her here is a link) as many other children do.  We got our first 2 in kids meals from chick-fil-a.  I then bought him a few from his school.  I have been picking out books I know he loves and trying to make a little simple fun project to go with them.  He is out for the summer and wanted to include books with crafts, snack, activities… to our fun time at home.  This is our simple fun with this book If You Give a Moose a Muffin.

This is our simple start.  With a 3yr and a 1yr and one on the way simple is always best  for us.  Just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it is not fun!

We did bag muffin mix.  We had blueberry on hand, I thought it was close enough to blackberry so we used it.  Then I got out stuff to make a sock puppet.  I did this the way I remember my mom making them for me.

Always my helper in the kitchen.
I had one hand on little brother and took a picture, I wanted to share this cute moment of them helping together.
What we ended up with, no matter how simple to anyone else, the boys loved it!!!  We got to eat muffins and the puppet read them the story!
Love making memories with my boys that will last me a lifetime.
