Making Family Memories

“We do not remember days; we remember moments.” Cesare Pavese

When I was looking through quotes I came across this one and thought it was perfect. I hope my boys will remember these special moments we have together as they grow. We may not remember everyday but I hope our family adventures can be those moments they recall.

Our boys are still young so we are figuring out what traditions we enjoy with them as a family.  Going to the farm each fall has become one for us.  I found this farm through a google search for places to pick pumpkins last year.  I read the website on the things they offered and it all sounded fun.  We planned a trip and took the boys last year and had so much fun.  I have been looking forward to going back all year. The fresh grass, bight colors of all the pumpkins, the fun activities for the kids, the farm animals, the pumpkin and flower picking, and of course the baby pig races.  These races have become one of our favorites.  How cute is it to see the little pigs dart out of the fence to run and jump in the water and swim across and then get out to finish up the race.  The commentator with his pig nose and the crowd make it all so much fun.  After our memorable last 2 years here at the farm I see this becoming one of our fall family traditions.  We all look forward to making many more family memories through the years.
