Painting with Apples {Print Making}
Looking for a fun fall craft and activity for the kids? Apple printing or painting with apples is perfect. This is our first year trying apple prints out and I just couldn’t wait to let big brother try it. He loves paint and even more when we try something new. This was a great activity for this perfect fall day.
Painting with Apples {Print Making}
What you need:
apples, paint, paper plate, paper.
I must say I love crayola finger paints we use them for most of our painting. They wash off well! That’s a plus at my house.
What we did:
I cut up a few apples different shapes and sizes, put finger paints on paper plate and laid out paper for my son to paint. I also got out paint brushes for him at his request. While we where outside he picked a few flowers. I told him to see what it was like to paint with it. He tried it but said it was “oooie”. We only spent about 20 min painting and then he was out in the yard playing with dirt! Our table umbrella is gone because we have workers coming to build a new deck for us. It was really bright without it. If we had the umbrella I think he may have sat a few extra min’s.

His painting!
Now on to the brushes.
He used all 3 brushes he got out and was enjoying how one made circles, then painted over the circles, and then the other one he said was to smooth out the thick paint on his page. Love seeing his little mind work.
He picked me some flowers in the yard and I told him to try and paint with it. He was not sure and didn’t like it.
We love trying new things and that is just what we did with apple painting today. look forward to trying it again next year. As always we hope you and your kids can have some fun with this too.
