Pink Snail Craft in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness

 Having been in the medical field and watching close friends and co-workers deal with this in their families it hits home with me.  My close family has been affected by many types of other cancers(CA) but not breast.  I support the awareness of all cancers but for this month I wanted to share on breast cancer.


October has been set up as a month to spread the word on breast CA.  One important area is screening and I would like to share that with you.  Woman age 40yr should have yearly mammograms.  Women in their 20’s & 30’s should have a breast exam done by a doctor every 3yrs and women in their 40’s every year.  Women can also perform self breast exams and know what is and isn’t normal for their breasts.  If you ever have a question please see a doctor. In honor of this month, I wanted to do a pink craft with my boys.  Yes, they are young and may not grasp the concept of cancer however I do not think they are too young to start learning to care for a cause and others.  I told my boys that women get sick sometimes and this month is a month we can support them by making a pink craft and sharing it with others. I kept it really simple.  Then we moved on to our craft. We have done this craft before but this time we just did it all pink.
