Plant a Tree or 2 in honor of Earth day{activity for kids}

My husband and big brother are planting 2 trees today and plan on planting one more next week.  This is an Earth Day activity for us.  We are teaching big brother that we need to give back to the Earth with more trees.  I told big brother that the Earth likes trees like he likes M&M’s! We give the Earth a special treat like he gets a special treat sometimes.  He thought that was funny.  They are planting me a crepe myrtle and a cypress tree.  Next week when my husband can borrow an auger I hope to get my magnolia tree!  Thankful my boys love me and took the time to plant these trees.  I think even though it took sometime to dig the one hole the boys enjoyed the time together.

 My husband said he was a big help out there today.

We are getting some rain here, so hope it helps our trees.  Anytime to play in the dirt is a good time for big brother.

The great thing about this activity is you can do it anytime it doesn’t just have to be for Earth Day.
