Pretend Play with Foam and Paper Pizza
We love playing and learning in our play kitchen over here. It is the best hand me down ever! My sweet niece gave it to big brother and now little brother is enjoying it too. We are always looking for fun, new ways to play over there. So creating them a pretend pizza place was a good idea to me. As you all know I like to keep it simple yet fun over here. This foam and paper pizza is just that.
Pretend Play with Foam and Paper Pizza
Supplies/What we used:
yellow foam circles – You could probably use cardboard or paper and cut out circles if you wanted.
red pom poms
white and green paper cut up
What we did:
I cut up green and white paper to make cheese and bell peppers for them to add to the pizza. I set it all out for them on their train table. It is right next to the kitchen. I put out the pom poms and paper too.
Now they went to work (play) making their pretend pizza.
Once they had everything on the pizza, it went over to the oven to bake. They played for about 30 minutes doing this. That is a lifetime at my house. Once they were through I just put the piece in a ziploc bag to store. Now, when they are ready to make pizzas again, all I do is pull out the bag. This is a great activity to help kids learn life lessons on how to cook for themselves. But to them it is just fun.
Pizza anyone? As always we hope you and your kids can have a little fun with this too.
