Rainbow Finger Bath Paint

With St. Patrick’s Day coming up I have been dreaming of rainbows and gold coins.  As a family, we have come to enjoy holidays in our own way.  They just give us an excuse to have “themed fun” building up to the special occasion.  We do have a few St. Patrick’s Day traditions, one being our Leprechaun Treasure Box!  Other than that we just love wearing green on St. Patty’s Day.

What better time than now to whip up some of our finger bath paints with a rainbow theme!

These baby safe and edible finger paints are great for the tub and paper.  They are also a hit with multiple aged kids.  Mine are 1-5yr.

Finger paints are classic sensory play.  What better way to explore touch and sight than with bright finger paints.

Our set up:

Rainbow Finger Paints in a muffin tin placed in the bottom of a dry tub. Easy as can be for me and fun for the kids.

We went over the colors real quick because that is just what we do when we play.  Sneaking in a little learning fun is my style.

Nothing like some painted hands.  Big brother is my sensory kid.  He loves this kind of stuff. He was hands in painting the tub and himself, no worries.

My toddler enjoys sensory play but he is funny about textures.  This one was fun to stick his hands in but he soon asked to wash them off.  All kids are different but they both still enjoyed the bath paints and had fun.

Baby brother  enjoyed sticking his fingers in the paints and quickly went to taste them.  They are safe to eat but he gave me a good laugh as he didn’t enjoy the taste.

Once the paints were gone, we took cups and rinsed the tub out. Then we filled the tub for a good bath to wash the rest of the paint off of them.  Easy set up and easy clean up!
