Recycled Chalk Flower Pots For Mother’s Day Gifts
My toddler and I have been eating mac and cheese bowls. They are quick and easy and that is what works for us right now. Since I have a thing for holding on to “trash” (I never know when it may come in handy) I decided to put some of it to use for Mother’s Day Gifts. These mac and cheese bowls were perfect. We turned them into chalk flower pots to gift flowers to the kid’s grandmothers. I must say I wouldn’t mind having one myself.
Recycled Chalk Flower Pots For Mother’s Day Gifts
What we used
mac and cheese bowls
chalk paint both spray and liquid
washi tape
chalk
flowers
What we did
I spray painted the bowls with chalk paint and let them dry. Once dry I let the kids help add liquid chalk paint to the bowls. We let them dry. Once dry, I added washi tape to one of the “pots”. It was cute but I wanted to leave one for us to write on. I wrote out MIMI on the “pot”. The kids helped me put the flowers we bought down in our pots. Both kids were really excited to give grandmas their gifts. Lucky for grandmas they got their gifts a little early this year!
Cute and easy Mother’s day gifts that the kids can help with. It is also a great way to recycle. I love how they came out and I am so glad my moms enjoyed them. They can even keep the bowls and use them for something else! We hope you and your kids can enjoy them too.
