It is time for another fun play recipe! This time, for 12 Months of Sensory Dough, we are playing with cloud dough. So many fun recipes for cloud dough. You can see how the kids and I played with it recently here: Peppermint Cloud Dough. When it came time to come up with a new idea for today, Sugar Cookie Cloud Dough was on my list to try. A scent that comes to mind when I think Christmas and we are getting so close to this holiday. But Christmas or no Christmas, sugar cookie scented play is always ok with me. Now lets see how my recipe turned out.
Sugar Cookie Cloud Dough
2015
Supplies/what we used:
flour
cooking oil
vanilla extract
sprinkles
How to make Sugar Cookie Cloud Dough:
I took 2 cups flour and 3/4 cups cooking oil and mixed. You have to mix with your hands to really get this to mix well. Now add a few tsp or more of vanilla extract. And last a few sprinkles. This cloud dough smelled so good.
Now it was time to play! I grabbed a tray and placed the bowl of cloud dough on it to start. I got out 2 more smaller bowls for more sprinkles. Then I got a play spatula and spoon. Simple and easy invitation to play.
My kids are 6yr, 4yr, and 3yr. They all had fun with this sensory play activity. Sensory play is a great way to let the kids explore sight, touch, smell, and sometimes taste. This play recipe is taste safe but not intended to eat. I doubt it tastes as good as it smells.
