Water Bottle Stamps for Kids
I love finding new ways for us to paint over here at my house. Painting is one of my kid’s favorite things to do. It can be a great busy activity and a bit messy at times. We often paint in the bath tub just to keep the mess contained and then rinse it all away. Today they got to paint at the table. Letting them use water bottles for stamp paintings was a big hit with both my 2 yr and 4 yr. and a fun way to pass the afternoon.
Water Bottle Stamps
What we used:
paper plates
finger paints
white construction paper
foam star stickers
plastic water bottles
What we did:
Stick the stickers to the top of the water bottle, on the cap. Squeeze small amounts of paint on to paper plates for the kids.
Now let the kids dip the “stamp” in the paint and start stamping the paper with paint. The kids really enjoyed dipping the stamp in the paint and then watching as a star appeared after they stamped it down on the paper.
This was an open ended activity for the kids. I gave them supplies and let them take over. It turned into a color mixing activity too. A fun way to paint for the kids.
