We had making ice cream in a bag on our summer bucket list and summer is almost over. It was now or never to try out this simple science experiment with the kids. I knew this project would end up with a super mess. So of course we needed our super wipes, Wet-Nap® to conquer all the sticky fingers and ice cream covered faces. We had a lot of fun making ice cream and boy was it yummy too.
We love wipes at my house. On a trip to Walmart we picked up some of our favorite wipes. I love this brand because they are safe fore the face and include aloe. Visit Walmart for all your Wet-Nap® needs: 110-Count Hands, Face, & Body Cleansing Wipes, 24-Count Packettes Antibacterial Hand Wipes and 40-Count Canister Antibacterial Hand Wipes. I love the individual ones for my purse and the container fits perfect on my kitchen counter.

Supplies for Ice Cream in a Bag Science Experiment:
*ice cream salt
*ice
*sugar
*vanilla extract
*half and half
*quart and gallon ziploc bag
*gloves optional
*and your Wet-Nap® wipes
How to make Ice Cream in a Bag Simple Science:
Step 1 fill a gallon bag half way full of ice.
Step 2 add your rock or ice cream salt to ice.
Step 3 add half and half to quart sized bag.
Step 4 add sugar and vanilla extract. Zip closed.
Step 5 place quart bag in gallon bag.
Step 6 shake, mix, jiggle this bag for about 20 minutes.
Then take out the quart bag and you have ICE CREAM!
Now we had our delicious and easy clean up vanilla ice cream recipe. The kids thought this was so cool. They were so glad that the experiment to see if we could make ice cream with a few bags worked!
We added some fun candy toppings and took our bag of ice cream outside with several spoons. We all took a taste.
Having our Wet-Nap® wipes handy made clean up a breeze. They were great for sticky fingers and great to wipe the table off after we had finished with our ice cream. They also worked great on wiping their faces too.

We had so much fun as a family with our ice cream party that we will definitely be doing this again. And I will be sure to have my Wet-Nap® wipes handy.
