Paper Bag Bear Puppets for We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
Paper Bag Bear Puppets for We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
What we did:
To start I used a small paper plate to trace a circle on the brown construction paper. This was to be the bear’s head. I then cut out by hand 2 small circles for parts of the eyes and 2 ears.
The kids glued on the ears to the face. Then the face to the paper bag.
Then we added the white circles to the face. And the buttons onto that.
Then add the black pom pom for the nose. Use the sharpie to draw the mouth.
Add 3 more wooden buttons down the bag. Now we have a fun Paper Bag Bear Puppet to go with our book We’re Going On a Bear Hunt.
The kids love to play “Bear Hunt”. We walk through the house looking for a bear. Someone pretends to be the bear. When we find the bear the bear chases us. Great for pretend play, gross motor, and mommy spending time playing with the kids. We also get to read a fun book too.
