Pretend Play Medical Office with Printables
Pretend Play Medical Office with Printables
How to setup:
I used the room that had our small table and chairs in it. I set one chair beside the table (for the doctor to sit) and one across from it for the patient to sit. I sat 2 more chairs off to the left side of the room to mimic a waiting room.
What we used:
Medical kit
chairs
table
eye chart
rug
paper- RX pads and name tags
pen or pencil
How to make ID Tags and Rx pad:
I created some simple RX pads and doctor ID tags for the kids. After printing them out I laminated them. I tried gluing the tags to clothespins but they fell off. I plan to go back and add holes and yarn or ribbon so they can wear as necklaces.
I also printed out an Eye Chart from Classroom Clip Art.
Now that everything was setup it was time to play.
Pretend play is great for kid’s imaginations. It is also a great way to work on social skills. Pretend play helps kids learn new words and terminology. It is a great way to encourage problem solving and thinking outside the box. It is also a great way to learn about the world around us.
The doctor(little brother) comes in and ask questions. Then he gives his patient (big brother) a band-aid.
Baby brother plays nurse and gets his vital signs.
Then they take turns switching out roles.
We love B. Toys! And I love how you turned it into a whole play center! So much fun, Jaime!
