Tub of balls and bowls-water play
We play outside with water a lot during the hot seasons and it is getting hot here. We had been outside with some bowls of water this week and I kept having to come back in and fill them up every time they dumped them out. Well you can imagine this got old fast for me. So this day I took a rubbermaid we had that was empty and filled it with water. I thought this can be our “refill station”. Add some balls for extra fun and now we had the perfect way to send the afternoon.

I added some bowls. My youngest had a plastic ball he was walking around with and he came over and dropped it in the water. I thought that might add a little extra fun. So my oldest 3yr went and got some more of our balls out of our ball pit to add to the water. They filled bowls, threw balls around, dump out water all over, splashed in it, and eventually ended up getting in it. They have a plastic pool but I think they were having more fun in this little “tub” of balls and bowls!
Scooping and dumping the water was a favorite of the boys.
Counting the balls and going over the colors while they play added learning to playtime.
My boys are 3yr and 1yr this year and this was the perfect sibling play activity for them. Finding play activities for different age groups can be hard at times but water play seems to always be a winner.
