Brown Sugar Bacon Green Beans and a Random Act of Kindness

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sam’s Club. All opinions are 100% mine.

We love Sam’s Club !  We have been members for many years.  We love their affordable products and the great selection they have each time we go.  Here lately it seems we go even more.  With 3 growing boys and a household of 5 we are always needing to stock up on something.  From diapers to meals, Sam’s Club has us covered. Recently I found out online at Sams Club Celebrate Spring they have a list of recipes to try with available products. These recipes include side dishes and casseroles perfect for spring time meals. I could not wait to try one out.  Going to Sam’s Club was on my list of things to do so we headed out to grab some ingredients to try out the Brown Sugar Bacon Green Beans.

I just love how this simple recipe gave these Del Monte® cut green beans so much flavor.  This is a new favorite of mine.  Quick and easy to make with a yummy taste.
While we were at Sam’s Club shopping I had an idea for me and the kids. This tasty side dish of Brown Sugar Bacon Green Beans would go perfect with a rotisserie chicken from Sam’s Club.  Add a few rolls and dinner is served.  What better than to turn this meal into a random kind act.  I often think of random acts of kindness being done by strangers for strangers.  However, that is not always the case.  What better than to preform kind acts for those we love most.  The ones that are always there for us and never ask for anything in return.
Once we got home the kids sat down with paper, pencils, and sticks to make decorations for our box we would pack up this meal in.  While they colored I cooked the beans. I took the paper and taped it to the empty diaper box we had.  We placed the meal inside to go.

I want to teach my kids to give to others as it was taught to me by my mother.  She was always taking meals to others growing up.  I could not have though of better person to take this meal to.  One kind act repays another. Simple kind acts like this are easy to get young kids involved in. The kids were so excited to be taking this yummy meal we got from Sam’s Club to a family member.  I can see us doing this more often.  A simple way to brighten someone’s day.  The meal was a hit!
This meal was so easy to put together and all the stuff we needed was picked up in one stop (Sam’s Club).  We look forward to trying out a few more recipes online and sharing them with others too.
