Excited to take part in this years 10 days of Kids Made Ornaments based on Books!! Hosted by Mama Miss head over to the landing page here to keep up with the 2 weeks of fun shared this year.
Last year we participated by making a Tree Ornament with sparkles. This year we picked one of our favorite books and created a kid made ornament for the Christmas tree. Can you guess what one of our favorite books is, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is right. The kids just love their coconut tree ornament.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Kid Made Tree Ornament
What to use:
ABC stickers from craftprojectideas.com (thanks for the free stickers!)
I used a cereal bar box(any thin cardboard should work)
scissors
pencil
glue
string
tape
What to do:
Trace and cut out a tree trunk from the cereal box. Then trace and cut out a “coconut” tree top.
Now I know the book has lowercase letters but we only had uppercase stickers. Find an ABC sticker. Grab the glue and let the kids glue the tree top to their truck.
Now let the kids stick on their ABC.

Then take brown paint and added to fingerprint coconuts to the tree. Leave the Chick Chick Boom Boom ornaments to dry.
Cut some string. Once dry take the string and tape to the back of the tree.
Now we have a kid made Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Ornaments the kids can add to the tree.
