I saw these fun Firework Paintings on Juggling With Kids a few years ago and have been wanting to try them with my kids. With Memorial Day and then 4th of July coming up I thought it would be a fun themed craft for us to try. Easy to set up and a lot of fun to make.
Firework Paintings
What we used:
pipe cleaners (from craftprojectideas goodie box they gave us)
finger paint
black construction paper
silver glitter
What we did:
I added red, white, and blue finger paint to a paper plate. I then took several pipe cleaners and twisted them together. I left the ends out to make a “fan”. This is what gives you the “fireworks” look.
Take the pipe cleaner fan and let the kid dip it in the paint. We just mixed our paint all together. Then press it down on the paper.
When the kids get through making their fireworks, sprinkle the painting with glitter. This just gives it extra sparkle.
Let dry and then hang up for decorations or gifts to family and friends.
These firework paintings are fun for Memorial Day and Fourth of July. Easy to set up and fun for all ages.
