How to create a Sticky Paper Earth Day Window:
First I drew a circle with the marker on the sticky paper before I put it up. I put painters tape on the top of the contact paper non sticky side out and then peeled the paper off. then I taped the rest of the sides down to the window. With the sticky side out the kids now had a sticky surface to apply the foam sheets to.
Then we talked about the Earth and how it is made up of grass (the green foam) and water the blue foam). My oldest added that the earth has animals and trucks… We had fun talking while they stuck up the foam squares. Of course we talked about the shapes and colors we had out. We talked a little about why we recycle and how it is good for the Earth. They had a lot of fun playing with the sticky paper Earth. A simple activity to get you and the kids talking about the Earth. As always we hope you all can have some fun with this too.
